The 1% origin story
Most AI consultants have never been tasked with running an operation, I did for 22 years.
22 years. Same plant. Three different owners. All right here in Regina. IPSCO became SSAB became EVRAZ. Change happened again and again, and I learned how to lead through it every time.
Legacy is what you become when no one is watching.
I was born and raised in Regina in a single-parent family. Times were tough. My mom picked cans for survival. I thought it was tidying. That is where sustainability became real.
I chose the hard path on purpose. I faced imposter syndrome. I stayed 1% better. No home runs, just daily 1% wins. In my 30's I went back to school for metallurgy and business strategy. My closest friend was dying from cancer and said it straight: "Live up to your potential." JT are my initials and an acknowledgement of the promise Jaremy and I made, 23 is my favorite number, and, thus, JT23 was formed.
People, Planet, Profit. That's the scoreboard where I can help leaders and their teams. AI is the lever. 1% wins are the habit. My daughter is my why. We win today to protect tomorrow.
